Ingredients
  

2 cups fresh or frozen peaches, chopped1 cup water¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)1 tablespoon lemon juice

Method
 

  1. Combine chopped peaches, sugar, lemon juice, and water in a saucepan.
    Simmer over medium heat for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Mash peaches gently as they soften to release juices.
    Remove from heat and strain the syrup through a fine sieve.
    Pour syrup into a clean jar, let cool, and refrigerate.
